Representatives from Russian fresh produce groups Nevskaya Co and RGS are among speakers at Fresh, Europe’s leading fresh fruit and vegetable conference, held in St. Petersburg, Russia for the first time on 13-15 April, 2010.

With the final day for delegates to make a 20 per cent saving on registration fees nearing, this year’s programme, focusing on the exciting changes underfoot in the Russian market, will be of major importance to everyone involved in the fresh fruit and vegetable sector.

Organised by Eurofruit Magazine and Freshfel Europe, Corinthia Hotel, the new five-star business and conference hotel on St. Petersburg’s famous Nevsky Prospect, is central to the action.

Speakers Boris Planer of Planet Retail, Oleg Rogozin of Bavaria and Dmitriy Sharikov of OKEY will open the conference, speculating on the new opportunities in the Russian fresh produce world as incomes continue to grow and more produce continues to be sold through major supermarkets.

Keeping a close eye on Russia’s emergence as a supplier of fresh fruit and vegetables, Fresh concludes with key industry insiders Bruno de Canson of Dow AgroSciences, Alberto Volpano of the EU Embassy, Andriy Yarmak of Fruit-Inform and Tatiana Crooijmans of Rabobank, offering delegates a wealth of advice over how best to better business prospects within the Russian market.

Fresh gives delegates the chance to hear from Karina Frenkel of Nevskaya Co. and Marat Mustafaev of RGS, who look closely at the emerging trends in the Russian fresh fruit and vegetables market, before Ksenia Evdokimova of Crisp Consulting offers useful advice on the new opportunities to market to Russian consumers as well as providing extensive networking opportunities.

Registering online at www.freshconfress.com by 12 March gives delegates a chance to make special savings on this year’s pass, which includes full access to all congress sessions, complete congress materials, access to the Fresh expo, networking breaks and lunch, a welcome reception, a gala dinner at Beloselsky-Belozersky Palace and optional study tours.
