A leading foodservice operator has added more than 300 fresh produce lines to its range as part of a campaign to encourage healthier eating.
3663 said the new lines, consisting of 100 fruit products, 160 vegetable lines and 60 of salad, would be added to its frozen, fresh and chilled division.
Marketing controller Julie Moore said: “The new range offers caterers the opportunity to widen their customer offering and cater for all dietary requirements, with fresh, simple ingredients that add flair to the menu.
“Consumer demand for healthier menu options is increasing. The new lines allow caterers to offer meal combinations for consumers looking for balanced options and extravagant occasions.
“This menu development allows caterers to capitalise on consumer trends and increase business opportunities by extending to new markets.”
Working through its joint distribution service with Swithenbanks Foods, 3663 said the new lines feature full traceability and provenance.
The company said it is championing the voice of healthier eating in the foodservice industry and claimed its simple steps form a wider commitment to provide caterers with an extensive offering to pass on to consumers.
