Rubens Consortium has elected a new president and vice president following elections in July.

Stefan Moje, of German apple producer Elbe-Obst, will be the new president, and Andy Sadler, MD of Norman Collett, will take the reins as vice president.

Kent-based fruit company Norman Collett holds the exclusive marketing and production rights for Rubens in the UK, and Sadler is delighted to become the Rubens Consortium's new vice president.

"This is a great honour, I am delighted to be appointed and feel that it is in part a recognition of the market development we have achieved in the UK for this excellent variety," said Sadler.

"It will be an exciting challenge to have greater input into the marketing strategies for Europe as a whole."
