Freshfel looks to the future

Freshfel Europe has appointed a new board for the 2012-2014 term with Philippe Henri, previously chairman of Freshfel’s wholesale and distribution division, appointed as its new president.

The appointments, announced at the European fresh produce association’s AGM, were capped off by Luc Clerx (previously of Zespri) as new vice-president and Jerome Fabre (previously of Compagnie Fruitière) as treasurer.

Henri said: “I want to thank all Freshfel members for their confidence in electing me in the position of chairman of the association. I will do my utmost to co-ordinate Freshfel’s structure to best collate fresh produce industry opinions and secure that Freshel is not only reactive but remains proactive on all policy issues but also on other industry collective topics where we should take the lead.”

The AGM also saw Freshfel members discuss the present and future situation of Europe's fruit and vegetables sector.
