The French food and drink industry has announced a dedicated one-stop industry website to directly support UK importers.

The major resource will be a directory of French exporting companies with over 1500 already listed and these will be supplemented on a regular basis. The site also includes a calendar of main trade events in the UK where France is participating.

frenchfoodandbeverages.co.uk will be further expanded during 2009 to provide a full range of practical tools for UK importers of French food and drink including a directory of French food and beverage companies exporting to the UK, economic data, production figures, quality standard and product information and a diary of trade events in the UK featuring French brands and companies

The UK site is part of a Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries mission to have 12 local websites online by May 2009. Six are already operational, in the Russian, UK, US, Italian, Chinese/Hong-Kong and Japanese markets.
