French apple and pear growers are launching a new identity to stress the strong good agricultural practice credentials. The new logo and strap line, which translates as “Eco-responsible Orchards” will be used on fruit destined for the national market initially but a roll out to the UK is already being considered a spokeswoman for national growers’ association ANPP told FPJ. To use the logo producers have to comply with a set of strict protocols governing integrated fruit production, social and economic criteria.
