The potential role of GM technology in horticulture is the topic for a debate to be hosted by the Fresh Produce Consortium (FPC).
The event will take place at Fera’s offices in York on 8 June. The FPC is inviting key speakers with very different perspectives to share their views and to introduce the debate.
Julian Little of Bayer CropScience will give an update of the current situation regarding GM technology and its use globally, as well as the EU and UK perspectives.
FPC members and guests are invited to attend, and to take the opportunity for a guided tour of Fera’s facilities at York as part of the day. In addition, the FPC Technical Group will be meeting to cover topical issues.
