Tilbury-based logistics specialist NFT has named former Morrisons logistics and supply chain director Ross Eggleton as its new chief executive.
Moving to deputy chief executive immediately, Eggleton will take on the full role with effect from 1 January 2018. Current CEO David Frankish will become vice chairman with responsibility for strategic customer development and M&A opportunities.
NFT chairman Heath Zarin said: “We would like to thank David for all he has contributed to NFT's success and we are pleased to welcome him as a senior advisor to EmergeVest. We are highly confident in Ross and his ability to lead NFT through its next phase of strategic development.”
“In partnership with the group’s banking partners, Investec, EmergeVest has already committed significant capital to finance NFT’s growth plans which include further acquisition opportunities and expansion of current business activities across Europe and Asia.'
Eggleton joined the chilled food logistics provider from Morrisons earlier this year to take on the role of chief operating officer. Frankish has worked with NFT for over 30 years during which time the compay has grown its annual turnover from £52 million in 1995 to £220m.
