Snack salad and vegetable specialist Freshtime UK has appointed Malcolm Read as head of technical to support its growth plans.
Read brings with him more than 20 years’ experience working in a technical role for firms including Northern Foods, Bakkavor, Kerry Foods and Fresh and Easy in California.
At Freshtime, he will take overall responsibility for all technical aspects of production at the Lincolnshire-based firm, including the quality of raw materials, transportation and food safety.
Mark Newton, Freshtime MD, said: “I’m extremely pleased that we’ve been able to bring Malcolm to Freshtime.
“Food safety is absolutely critical for our business and Malcolm’s experience and expertise will be vital in helping Freshtime to move to the next level.
