The search is on for UK's leading food and drink exporters following the launch of the annual Food from Britain Export Awards.

The awards, which are in association with magazine The Grocer, are in their seventh year and provide an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of UK food and drink exporters, said promotional agency FFB.

A dedicated awards website www.foodfrombritain.com/pearls has been set up, the categories this year include; frozen and chilled, grocery, cereal-based, confectionery, seafood, dairy, drinks, speciality, marketing innovation, Northern Irish, Scottish, Welsh, English and the overall food and drink exporter of the year.

Entries to the competition can be submitted via an online form on the website. Simon Waring, marketing and international management director at Foods from Britain, said: 'British food and drink exporters have a strong and respected reputation for delivering quality, innovative products across international markets.' The deadline for entries is October 3 and the winners will be announced at the Annual Export Awards Luncheon and Network Forum on December 17 at the Inter-Continental Hotel, London.
