Florida's blueberry, tomato, strawberry and organic growers will receive federal grants to market and promote their products world wide.

There are gains for citrus too with the Florida Department of Citrus slated to receive $980,000 to launch an aggressive marketing campaign to improve recognition and demand for Florida's citrus fruit and juices. And the Citrus Growers Association will receive $150,000 to develop and publicise a direct-sales system to allow growers to market and deliver directly to consumers.

'Promotional and marketing efforts are essential to expanding Florida's position as an agricultural exporter,' said Bronson. 'These grants will be used by Florida producers to help defray the costs of promoting their products and the Florida name both at home and abroad.'
