Following the success of its seasonal ‘Summer Mix’, Florette is launching two new salad bags this autumn.
Designed to meet consumer demand for a bagged salad fit for colder temperatures, the Florette Winter Mix includes a selection of red and green leaves and vegetables to freshen up winter meals.
The Sandwich Mix, meanwhile, comes in response to a study showing that sandwiches account for 30 per cent of salad occasions. Featuring a combination of crunchy, mild and flat salad leaves that sit well in sandwiches and wraps, the mix “offers a convenient solution for healthier, fresher sandwiches”, the salad brand said
The Winter Mix bag includes ruby chard, baby spinach, red baby lettuce, crunchy grated beetroot and crunchy carrot, while the Sandwich Mix features batavia, green cos and spinach.
Florette brand manager Rebecca Walker commented: “Our insight found that consumers are looking for new salad options that are fresh, convenient and nutritious all year round – not just during summer and not just as a meal accompaniment. The new Florette Winter Mix and Florette Sandwich Mix have been developed to respond to this consumer demand for different salad occasions.”
She added: “As the winter season approaches, consumers are in need of a seasonal option to replace our successful Summer Mix and brighten up winter meals. At Florette, we only grow where the sun goes, and our Winter Mix bag guarantees fresh, naturally tasting salad, even during the colder months.
“Similarly, we know many of our consumers lead busy lives - our new Sandwich Salad Mix is designed to be hassle-free way to add a delicious fresh flavour to your sandwich.”
Both of the new products will be sold at an RRP of £1 and will be available this autumn.
