Florette has appointed a group operations director to help drive the salad brand’s business forward during a busy period of development.

Tim Proudlove has joined the company in the newly-created role to build on quality and product innovation.

He has experience from a wide-ranging employment history spanning operations and commercial activities for various companies including Greencore, Northern Foods and Premier Foods.

He said: “Being the only brand provides Florette with the opportunity to leverage product credentials and create motivating messages to engage with new and existing consumers for the brand and category alike. Consumers have high expectations of product when it comes to premium categories such as bagged salad in terms of quality and taste so they will be looking to brands for the reassurance that they can fulfil their needs for the finest and freshest products.

“My role is about ensuring that we continue to deliver this commitment through operational excellence and putting the business in an even stronger position to continue to create differentiated product propositions in salad and fruit.”
