Five senior directors are set to leave Morrisons as part of a move by new chief executive David Potts to streamline the management.
Convenience managing director Nigel Robertson will step down from the management board, as well as customer marketing and digital director Nick Collard, retail director Martyn Fletcher, property and strategy director Gordon Mowat and group logistics director Neal Austin.
Potts said: “I will now be constructing a leaner management board, with the aim of simplifying and speeding up the business. I would like to thank Nick, Martyn, Neil, Nigel and Gordon for their service to Morrisons.”
Ross Eggleton and Miles Foster will continue to lead logistics and the 'M local' chain respectively, with Andy Atkinson and Clare Grainger appointed as interim marketing and retail directors.
