Government department UK Trade & Investment has handed over responsibility for British presence at key international trade fairs such as Anuga, Biofach and Alimentaria to a number of specially accredited trade organisations (ATOs) and corporations with show-organisation experience.

Food from Britain (FfB), which has previously organised the UK presence, said in a statement that it added its “enthusiastic support” to the decision, which has been taken in advance of the closure of FfB in March next year.

The organisations taking over are the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, PS8 Ltd, Montgomery International and William Reed Business Media. A total of 10 of the trade shows organised by FfB will be covered by the new ATOs, as well as shows for the ingredients and brewing sectors.
