The Henry Doubleday Research Association (HDRA), the national charity for organic growing, will hold a soil fertility day seminar on October 8 in Warwick.

Entitled ‘Managing Soil Fertility in Organic Systems’ the day aims to explore the wider range of options available for building soil fertility using green manures.

HDRA, an organization dedicated to researching and promoting organic gardening, farming and food, will explore rotation management, novel legumes and multiple uses of green manures. The day will also include views from researchers, advisors and members of the seed industry. Attendees will be invited to view trial plots, including a range of rotation strategies, legume species and methods of establishment.

The seminar day will be held at Warwick Horticulture Research International, part of the University of Warwick, in Wellesbourne.
