Fenmarc has been visiting some of the schoolchildren it supplied with seed potatoes earlier this year to fill them in on the growing cycle of potatoes.
Nearly 5,000 schools across eastern and south-eastern England received Rudolph seed potatoes from Fenmarc and planted them in March.
The initiative is part of Potato Council’s Grow Your Own Potatoes scheme and the fruit of the children’s labours is due to be lifted in June.
On 2 May Fenmarc’s Jo Giggs and Agricmarc’s Jonathan Pearson visited Donnington Cowley Endowed Primary School in Spalding with special guest Potato Pete and carried out a host of engaging activities.
