Fenmarc has renewed a major contract with wooden pallet pooler and producer Pooling Partners in a drive for continued supply chain efficiencies.
Fenmarc, which prepares and packs a range of vegetable products, uses the pallet company’s Trade Direct and One Way Trip supply chain models, as well as employing a mix of its standard and Euro pallets.
The two companies have been working together since 2012, during which time Fenmarc has increased its use of standard and Euro pallets by 59 per cent.
Phil Beckett, supply chain director for Fenmarc, praised Pooling Partners for its approach, saying: “It is all down to responsiveness and simplicity. Pallets should not be something that take a lot of management and this is exactly what we get with Pooling Partners.
“Before we signed with them we had to spend a lot of time dealing with deliveries, quality issues and queries on incredibly complicated invoices.”
Pooling Partners’ UK director Phil Storer added: “We have watched this relationship grow since 2012. Fenmarc wants what a lot of customers demand – a collaborative partnership and a simple and straightforward approach. We will continue to deliver to that requirement.”
Fenmarc, based in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, has a product range spanning simple bagged vegetables, pouches, meal kits, stir fry vegetables and premium trays that include butter, sauces and glazes.
