The Flowers & Plants Association has undertaken a houseplant promotion in recent weeks, providing displays for the UK’s biggest health and beauty event, Vitality.

Taking place at the London Olympia from March 30 to April 2 and the SECC Glasgow on April 7-9, Vitality offered information on all aspects of health, beauty, wellbeing, nutrition and fitness.

Promoting houseplants to visitors, the F&PA set up displays with health-giving properties such as dracaenas, philodendrons and kentia palms in the yoga, spa and seating areas; and hydrangeas, daffodils and soleirolias were used as table decorations to promote a relaxed atmosphere.

The association complemented the displays by hanging out leaflets to visitors, encouraging them to bring houseplants into their homes.

The F&PA also sponsored the table centre decorations at Woman & Home magazine’s readers’ dinner party, held at the Savoy Hotel in London in April. Three different varieties of campanulas were used for the dinner tables, which were decoratively wrapped to match the magazine’s corporate colours.
