Eva has reported a five-fold increase in apple exports in recent years, as well as extending its receiving markets to more than 30 countries.
At a press conference at Fruit Logistica, the Austrian apple firm reported that export volumes of the production had reached 25 per cent and that the apple has more than 1,000 Styrian apple growers.
Eva is looking to extend the product into new markets with Germany, the UK, Spain and Sweden currently representing the bulk of its export destinations.
Eva chief executive Roman Seligo said: “The first shipment went to Qatar recently and we have just sent a tender to Cuba.”
