Speakers and programme details have been confirmed for Fresh2006, which will take place in Seville from June 7-9.
The conference aims to provide an in-depth analysis of Europe’s role in the global fresh produce industry, with contributions from several of its biggest players.
Spain’s developing sector will come under the spotlight, in a presentation by various speakers, including representatives from Anecoop, Cultivar and UK-based Fresca Group Ltd.
Eric Baas of Rabobank, the leading international agricultural bank, will
present a specially commissioned report on the latest economical trends in the global
vegetable sector, including case studies on developments in Poland and Spain.
The opportunities and challenges of the Middle Eastern markets will be discussed by Hadi Abuseedo of Abuseedo Trading Est in Dubai, while Paolo Carissimo of
Kiwiuno Spa, in Italy, will focus on supplying and investing in the Asian market.
In addition, Kacem Bennani Smires of Moroccan exporter Delassus will contribute to a discussion on the implications of a free trade area in the Mediterranean.
The programme also features workshop sessions led by industry specialists from Israel,
France, Belgium and others, on key industry topics, including new varieties for a changing market place, promotion and merchandising.
