EurepGAP, now firmly established as a world standard, was at Fruit Logistica to meet with the industry.
Heike Anna Rauber, project co-ordinator for EurepGAP, said: “We make use of FRUIT LOGISTICA not only to represent our members and supply them with information, but also, because the entire industry is represented at the fair, we hold important meetings here too.”
She said the system offered producers marketing opportunities: “By means of a special recognition procedure, known as the benchmarking option, national and regional quality assurance systems can also be harmonised with Eurepgap requirements.”
