Fresh Produce Consortium members are being offered the opportunity to lower their energy bills via a solution from the Energy Information Centre.

The product is geared towards growers whose energy spend exceeds £75,000 per year and normally purchase their electricity on a fixed term, fixed price contract, but who are not able to access the wholesale electricity market.

Portfoliomanager makes available a fully flexible electricity supply contract of the type that only major users would be able to obtain, according to EIC, which adds that it uses market leading energy risk management to ‘capture favourable price wholesale movements.’

Portfoliomanager will be demonstrated at a free of charge briefing at the FPC offices in Peterborough on September 12.
