Last year's event proved a great success

Elsoms Seeds is to host two open days later this year to showcase a number of trials on vegetable crops.

The company will host its Autumn Open Days on 13-14 October and the trials on show will include a range of Brassicas including Brussels sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower as well as other crops such as beet, herbs, baby leaf and many more.

The crops will be shown in a range of trial types including mini vegetables, organic, planting date and breeding trials.

Elsoms managing director Robin Wood said: “Our open days last year were a huge success. We feel that it was a good opportunity to show people our new and current varieties and the wide range of crops that we offer.

“We are looking to build on last years’ success and show more crops this year and believe that it will be an event which growers will think well worth attending.”
