Elsoms Seeds Ltd has appointed its vegetable seeds director Robin Wood as managing director of the company.
Anthony Keeling, chairman of Elsoms Seeds Ltd, is passing over his managing director responsibilities to Robin Wood. Wood has held his position as vegetable seeds director for the last four years and deputy managing director for a year; he will retain direct responsibility for Elsoms’ vegetable seed division.
Keeling said: “With Robin having worked for us successfully for many years, as well as having been in charge of HRI’s Kirton Experimental Station before he rejoined us, his experience is most appropriate.
"I am delighted that Robin will be taking this extra responsibility and know that his enthusiasm and professionalism will lead us to build on our success, working with close partners such as Bejo Zaden and Florimond Desprez and others.”
Elsoms Seeds cover a wide range of vegetable and arable crop varieties including carrot, onion and red beet, and are making fast progress in sugar beet, parsnips and other crops.
