The strain on relations between farmers, food manufacturers and retailers caused by the high price of raw materials will come under the spotlight at the English Farming and Food Partnerships’ (EFFP) annual conference.

This year, the event will be called ‘Farmers and retailers - a marriage made in heaven?’, and will be held on October 31.

As farm and food businesses struggle to cope with spiralling raw material costs, speakers including Waitrose md Mark Price, Morrisons chief executive Marc Bolland, minister of state for sustainable farming, food and animal welfare and Lord Rooker and Sir Don Curry will look at how all parties can work together to ensure a sustainable future for British food and farming.

A limited number of tickets are available from EFFP on 020 7213 0431.
