East Malling Research has appointed its new chief executive officer.
Dr Colin Gutteridge will take up the post at the new independent horticultural R&D company which will begin operating in April.
Gutteridge is an experienced science and technology leader with a strong commercial focus and a track record of delivering business growth and developing leading edge research services.
He said: “East Malling Research is well place to capitalise on the existing and potential new markets for horticultural research. I’m pleased to have the opportunity to work with this team of dedicated and highly skilled professionals.”
Hugh Lowe, the chairman of East Malling Research, said: “Colin brings a wealth of expertise of growing and managing an internationally recognised centre of research excellence, experience will prove invaluable to East Malling Research over the coming years.”
