Dianthus breeders Whetman Pinks will be exhibiting for the 21st time at this year’s Four Oaks, where they will launch a new range of Whetman ‘Early Bird’ Pinks for 2008.

The collection of five early flowering dwarf pinks will provide perfumed flowering plants from late February. The next addition to the company’s range will be ‘Passion’, a red scented flower and a balanced plant which, according to Whetman, makes it an ideal flowering pot plant.

The company reports that sales of their ‘Scent First’ range are increasing as customers learn how adaptable they are. In 2008, they will be launching ‘Sugar Plum’, which should complement their other pinks which include ‘Tickled Pink’ and ‘Candy Floss’.
