A drugs raid carried out at Blochairn Fruit Market in Glasgow last week had little impact on the actual market itself, according to sources.

Heroin with a street value estimated at £12.5 million was seized in the raid in the east end of the city last Tuesday. The Scottish Crime and Drugs Enforcement Agency arrested a 44-year-old man.

An insider told freshinfo that this was an isolated incident, and the arrest made was nothing to do with the market or any of its tenants.
