The seventh annual Dorset Food Week is to coincide with autumn half term in October.

This year will see the largest number of participants backing the event since it began.

Some 160 different opportunities to take part are listed in the official Dorset Food Week Guide, from tastings and menu sampling to treasure hunts.

Fourteen films and local food tastings will form part of the Dorset food film festival, Screenbites.

The event has been billed as food fun for all ages.

The county-wide celebration of local produce will be held from October 20 to 28 October.

A guide to the event is now available free from tourist information centres, libraries and participating outlets across the county, and contains directions to all the events and full organiser details.
