Wholesalers found themselves being serenaded by Eliza Doolittle recently, during a tour to promote lamb’s lettuce from the Loire Valley.
To raise the profile of the lettuce, two roadshow teams visited markets in Bristol, Glasgow, Spitalfields, Manchester, Birmingham, New Covent Garden and Western International.
Eliza was on hand to promote the French lamb’s lettuce by singing a number of well-known songs from the movie and handing out promotional leaflets.
A spokesman said: “Whether or not the wholesalers previously had a specific interest in Lamb’s Lettuce, you could certainly see by the smiles on their faces and all those that joined in singing and clapping their hands that the activity had definitely brightened up their mornings.”
