The fresh produce supplier is celebrating scooping no less than three industry awards in one month
September 2023 proved to be a rewarding month for Dole UK as the fresh produce provider brought home three awards in the space of two weeks.
At the Fresh Produce Consortium’s (FPC) annual awards ceremony on 29 September in London, Dole’s Mark Murphy business in Scotland won foodservice supplier of the year, recognising its hard work to embed and successfully grow its business in Scotland.
That same evening, Dole UK scooped the FPC HR Initiative for its dedicated Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) plan which focusses on educating and raising awareness of eight facets of D&I across its businesses.
This was preceded by recognition on the 14 September at the Co-op Pioneer Awards, where Dole Retail won the ’pioneer in wholesale’ gong. Open to all sectors, not just fresh produce, the award recognised the strong, focused joined-up working relationship between Dole and its Better Berries group and the teams at Nisa & Co-op.
Dole UK operates 31 facilities across Britain, supported by a wide network of local growers.
Growing, sourcing, importing, packaging, marketing and distributing over 300 lines of fresh produce, Dole UK’s range of local and global produce extends from the more familiar to the exotic and includes extensive organic and value added fresh cut ranges.
It serves the UK retail, wholesale and foodservice sectors.
