Dole Europe’s import division, which brings in Latin American bananas and pineapples, has been awarded EU-authorised economic operator (AEO) status.

The certification indicates that Dole Europe Import works with an appropriate record of compliance with customs requirements, has a satisfactory system for the management of commercial and transport needs, and appropriate security and safety standards.

Based in Antwerp, Dole Europe Import now gets access to facilitations for customs controls and simplifications for customs rules (AEOC) along with facilitations concerning security and safety controls into the customs territory of the EU (AEOS).

The certificate is valid for all Dole European imports of Latin American bananas and pineapples for all European countries.
