Direct contact bears fruit for OFD

Orchard Fruits Direct (OFD) ran a whole day of tasting activity at Co-operative stores in Cranbrook and Walderslade in Kent last week to promote UK top fruit.

OFD’s retail development controller David Morris (pictured, left) said: “We were delighted to support the Co-operative Group in this initiative as not only did it provide us with a great opportunity to promote the virtues of home-grown apples, but it also enabled us to speak to consumers in regard to some of the newer UK varieties available, in particular Rubens, for which the feedback was extremely positive.” Shoppers also sampled Cox and Royal Gala.
