Sam Dennigan & Co has secured a high-volume contract to supplement its supply of fresh produce to Ireland’s largest supermarket chain with poultry, meat and dairy lines. The company is distributing the products to all 100 of the chain’s stores, both in southern and Northern Ireland.
A key aspect of the preparation was to select a computer system. Dennigan’s approached Prophet for a solution that would integrate with the customer’s system and safely manage the automated processes essential to the daily procedure of receiving stores’ orders electronically, automatically placing orders into suppliers and then receiving, storing, picking the goods and distributing to the stores on time.
Sam Dennigan said: “The circumstances of the contract meant our customer had to place their trust in us. In turn, we had to place our trust in Prophet - we went that extra mile and so did they. We got our deliveries to the stores from day one and together we justified the enormous trust of our supermarket customer.”
