Delamore assures YP growers

Delamore managing director Peter Wood has written to the Yoder Toddington’s Young Plants growers to assure them of their future following Delamore takeover of the business on June 1.

Yoder chose to sell Young Plants to concentrate on growing finished plants. Wood said that Yoder had experienced some difficulties importing plants from the continent, and expressed confidence that customers would ‘see a substantial improvement in quality and service now that the plants are being grown locally.

In his letter Wood reaffirmed Delamore’s full commitment to Young Plants, underlining this with reference to the new 14 acre propagation nursery the firm has built in Cambridgeshire.

He also said that any customers with outstanding summer orders with Yoder for poinsettias, garden mums or perennials would be receiving a revised order on June 1. Deliveries will now be made from the Delamore nursery on its own vehicles.
