Crop protection, seed and machinery specialists have announced their sponsorship of the British Pea and Bean Growers Association (PBGA)’s forthcoming event.

Hutchinsons, Väderstad, Syngenta and Church of Bures are among the big industry names to back the PBGA conference in Boston, Lincolnshire, on 7 November.

The biennial event – which will take place in the Jakeman Stadium at Boston United Football Club – is an opportunity for industry leaders and experts to gather and discuss the latest developments, trends and challenges for the vining pea and bean industry, the organisers said.

Crop protection specialist Hutchinsons is the main conference sponsor, while farm machinery firm Väderstad will sponsor the conference programme.

Syngenta, meanwhile, is sponsoring the pre-conference dinner, and pre-dinner drinks will be provided courtesy of independent seed producer Church of Bures, the PBGA said.

The conference will also host a trade exhibition to allow businesses to engage directly with industry peers and showcase their services and products.

Commenting on the sponsorship announcements, the PBGA said: “We extend our thanks to all the companies that have shown their support through sponsorship or by participating in the exhibition. Their involvement is instrumental in the success of this conference and the advancement of the vining pea sector.”

Tickets are now on sale for the conference and pre-conference dinner. Discount is available on conference tickets for members of the Pea and Bean Growers Association.
