Michelin starred chef Tom Aikens and Café Spice Namasté’s Cyrus Todiwala joined Covent Garden Market Authority’s Helen Evans, and Assured Food Standards’ trade marketing manager Penny Beauchamp at New Covent Garden Market (NCGM) to celebrate Red Tractor Week (14-20 June) at a five-course breakfast on the buyers’ walk.
Ten years since its inception, Red Tractor certification is considered as an assurance for the whole supply chain and is sought out by many of the traders at NCGM, although clear packaging still lets the wholesale market down, they claim.
