Costa Rican national banana company Corbana is hosting a global meeting of banana growers, exporters and importers in San José on December 1. Top of the agenda is the EU's tariff-only banana import regime due to come into effect in January 2006. The group is also hoping to welcome government delegations from the major producing countries as well as representation from the EU.
