The Fresh Produce Consortium is updating its code of practice for the control of pesticides. It was two years since the current edition of the code was launched. "We are aware that some aspects of the code need to be updated," said Nigel Jenney, Fresh Produce Consortium chief executive, "especially passages relating to maximum residue levels, so we are taking the opportunity to review the whole document."
The consortium is inviting contributions from the industry to help improve and update the code. It aims to complete its review by the end of November. The FPC can be contacted at info@freshproduce.org.uk
