Co-operative hangs out the bunting

The Co-operative is celebrating its win at May’s Re:fresh awards with a brand new, eye-catching, in-store communications package.

The retailer became the first to add the prestigious Fresh Direct Overall Produce Trader of the Year to the QV Fresh Approach Multiple Retailer of the Year award at this year’s ceremony in London.

The package includes bunting, point of sale, shelf wobblers, in-store radio and till screens at stores nationwide.

David Messom, director of food retail trading at The Co-operative, said: “We are delighted to have won these prestigious awards, which recognise that our fresh produce offering is second to none, thanks to the extraordinary efforts of all the teams involved. Fresh produce is important to our customers and a fundamental part of delivering The Co-operative Good with Food strategy.”

Judges said The Co-operative’s entry highlighted the retailer’s commitment to its supply base and to its customers, with the customer offer being “re-invigorated, re-branded and refreshed”, making it a worthy winner of both accolades.
