The Co-operative Good with Food team has been touring the UK and was joined by importer Capespan at the three day Royal Highland Show last week.
The stand incorporated an educational area, which attracted both adults and children alike, together with various sampling pods. Scottish-grown tomatoes proved to be very popular with the consumers, pleasing grower D Bryson of Ayrshire.
Carla Mills, category buyer for salads at The Co-op, said: “It’s a great opportunity for us to showcase our regionally grown produce, in particular our Scottish-grown tomatoes, at this event.”
The Good with Food team is on the road through until November, with the final event at the BBC Good Food Show in London on November 13-15. They will again be joined by the Capespan team at the Great Yorkshire Show later this month.
