Clemcott is coming back on stream from Spain at the end of next month, according to the protected varieties club CVVP that guarantees the easy-peeler’s quality.
Only the very best Nadorcott mandarins grown by club members qualify for the CVVP guarantee and can be marketed as Clemcott. This ensures homogeneity of the Clemcott brand and provides the supply chain with guaranteed quality, thanks to CVVP certification which includes a regime of un-announced grower audits.
A spokesman for CVVP said: “ The whole process is indicated in the Blacklabel, which has a datamatrix code. It is shown in the secondary packaging and guarantees the genuine origin of Nadorcott and the quality specified in the regulations governing use of Clemcott.”
Clemcott from Spain will available in the UK from late January until the end of April.
