The governor will join the Lord Mayor in presenting the environmental awards of the Worshipful Company of Fruiterers (WCF) at the Mansion House. The ceremony will be followed by lunch, when diners will be addressed by the governor at Farmers and Fletchers Hall in the City.

At the Guildhall, the governor will be made a Freeman of the City of London and at the Mansion House she will be made an honorary Liveryman of the WCF. The company promoted international research exchanges with the governor when she was a governor of New Jersey. Other honorary Liverymen include the Prince of Wales.

The awards are sponsored by Marks & Spencer. They are awarded annually to individuals or companies connected with the fruit industry who have made a positive contribution to the environment in the last year.
