Chiquita is moving its European headquarters from Belgium to Switzerland.
Michel Loeb, head of Chiquita Europe, has confirmed local media reports that the Cincinatti-based multinational produce giant is to relocate its European base to the small municipality of Rolle, canton Vaud, overlooking Lake Geneva.
According to a local news report, Chiquita will employ around 100 people in Vaud. Chiquita follows British confectionary company Cadbury Schweppes, which moved into the area which also hosts Yahoo!, Nissan and Cisco Systems in March.
