Chilled chip specialist Lord Chips is getting behind the British Potato Council’s National Chip Week from February 13-19.
The company is hoping that the UK’s fish and chip shops will turn to it for the 5.3 million portions of chips expected to be served during the week.
“Because Lord Chips solely specialises in the production of chips, you can be assured of its 100 per cent commitment and focus on creating the best possible chilled chip,” said a spokesman.
“Manufactured from the finest quality potatoes, Lord Chips products come fully pre-prepared, offering you great labour savings and a delicious, fresh-tasting chip. They are energy efficient, in both storage and frying. As they are stored at 0-4°C, they not only reach storage temperature quickly but also reach frying temperature more rapidly too, meaning less energy is required.”
