Three Chilean associations are coming together to stage Fruittrade on 28-29 September in Santiago. Fedefruta, representing fruit growers, Hortach, representing vegetable growers and exporters, and Chilean export promotion body ProChile are hoping to bring importers and buyers from around the world to meet producers and shippers face-to-face. Delegates can organise up to 30 meetings, which must be scheduled in advance on the event website www.fruittrade.cl

This year’s event will focus in particular on the export of fresh and semi-processed vegetables as well as Chile’s well known fruit portfolio.

A seminar programme is also being put together to run at the meeting and there will be product showroom for tastings.

Running alongside Fruittrade is the 24th national convention of fruit and vegetable growers, which features a 60 different technical and commercial presentations.
