The NFU is appealing for sponsors for its hugely popular British growers’ display at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

Last year’s display won the NFU its twelfth consecutive gold medal at the show and earned plaudits from thousands of visitors as well as attracting the attention of celebrities including Dustin Hoffman and Sir Trevor McDonald.

Chris Hartfield, NFU horticulture advisor, said in addition to receiving NFU support every year the display was also sponsored but this year’s search for a sponsor had so far failed to bear fruit.

“This is a unique opportunity to sponsor one of most spectacular displays at the leading flower show in the world.

“Thousands of people visit the NFU display each year, the feedback is always very positive and the media coverage of the display reaches an audience of millions.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to highlight all that’s great about British fruit, vegetables, plants and flowers and a wonderful chance for sponsors to reach a vast audience,” said Hartfield.

The NFU has been promoting British produce at RHS flower shows for more than 60 years and our displays have a long-standing reputation as spectacularly unique showcases of 100 per cent British produce, flowers and plants.
