Charles Victor Renaudon, past president of the Wholesale Fruit Federation, has died aged 88.

Working alongside his father, Charles was a leading player in the fruit and vegetable wholesale sector with the company A Renaudon and Son, based in Stoke on Trent, before selling the business to Fyffes in 1969.

However. he continued working until the week he died, helping out with his son Paul Renaudon’s wholesale business.

Charles passed away in his sleep on January 25, 2005, and leaves behind a wife, Betty, four children and 11 grandchildren.
