Champagne was flowing at Higgins Group's headquarters as competition winners came to collect their bottles of bubbly and flute glasses to drink it out of.

The group launched a competition in February to celebrate the launch of its website. Higgins felt the design and content of their former site no longer reflected their position as one of the UK's largest and most rapidly expanding potato marketing companies.

Competition entrants answered questions, for which the replies could be found by searching through the revamped website.

Winners came from all over the country, but one local winner was chef Irene Howson from Brigg, North Lincolsnhire. Irene typed the word 'potato' into a search engine and arrived at the Higgins page. She said: 'I often find myself forgetting what I went onto the Internet for. I was actually supposed to be searching for a holiday!'
